In my opinion, Communism is a good system of government. The problem is that it fails the second someone gets greedy or jealous. That's why it will never work in the US. So I never push the issue on that. Secondly, Inverted may be A Christian basher, but he's restrained from using it against me in this argument, so I applaud his restraint. I agree with Inverted about outlawing semi autos and autos. Civilians just don't need that kind of fire power short of martial law where the Government, if it sees fit, should distribute those weapons on a need to have basis. And Democrats do some bad things, and some do good things. I found an example of some bad ones. This discusses about how Dems and Repubs alike pardoned Bush for his unlawful spying a few years back. No, I don't think they should own them short of a world war breaking out. As Inverted said, there is no applicable use for them at all in today's civilian population. That should be controlled by the military and as I said before, handed out when needed in the event of a land invasion, which I honestly doubt would ever happen now that nukes are the threat. I said nothing about constitution specifics. You assume I was. |

I'm not against semi automatic rifles. Some are needed for sport or hunting. Fulling automatic weapons, on the other hand, are unneeded in our society save for the military. We have too many poor people and a violent culture for access to such weapons to be so easy. For criminals who manage to get them, it's not the random civilians' job to deal with them. The police exist for a reason. Also, unregulated capitalism has ruined our country, and so we need some Marxist commie friends telling people like Rekuddo to shut the forget up. |
