It's the state of having no belief. Strong atheism is the belief of no God.

How ignorant could you be? Evolution by natural selection, which is just as much a theory as relativity, does not deny the existence of God. Neither does the Big Bang. Abiogenesis is the study of what started life, and that is where all of this "lightning struck a mud puddle" bullstuff comes from. Unfortunately, evolution, which explains the diversification of life is grouped with this separate study and then denied outright.

I can't say anything is true or untrue in its entirety (except for mathematical proofs), but I can deal with probabilities. The way I see things, there is an overwhelming (and I mean really overwhelming) probability that there is no God, and therefore I would find it irrational to believe there is. I cannot deny the universe is less than a second old, but that is highly improbable.
