And the lack of rights for gay people, the resistance against scientific advancement, the concept of science being "the religion of the godless". These all originated from Judeochristianity. Although they are conservative views, they are held by many, many people.

why is it god lovers fight medical science so much.
then every time science cures and prevents sickness and saves lives, religion comes in and takes credit for it, claiming god let us do it, so its still his doing.
in the end when/if a god comes down from the heavens to all of us and proves non believers all wrong. idiots of faith will be on their knees, while the intelligent will be then studying god.
its a very sick truth of humanity. god or no god. to much faith is unhealthy. cant go through life crossing your fingers all the time.

Well I don't know about you, but I don't follow Judeo Christianity, so I'm not one of them thar hate mongers. I have several gay friends and I see them as equally awesome as my straight friends. They understand I'm straight, but it doesn't keep us from making jokes. They're good sports about it.
And I'm sure if you look hard enough, you'll find Aetheists who have done wrong towards the religious communities. I've heard of at least 3 church bombings in the last few years that were claimed by anti-religious zealots. Both sides have done wrong, this I can agree on.
EDIT: Also I wasn't able to respond to the other thread since it was locked while I was out at Karaoke, but Every prayer has been answered for a couple reasons. 1) Everything I asked for wasn't completely unreasonable. 2) Most of my prayers didn't involve physical needs or wants. 3) 90% of it is to give me strength to get over my past. and 4) the other 10% was random prayers for all you Atheists out there because you may not believe or pray, but I still respect ya and I'll make up for ya. So whether you think of it as a placebo effect or what not, I won't refute, but I'll keep praying so long as it keeps workin for me. Could they have been obtained without prayer, maybe. But like the lady soothsayer said in the Matrix "What's really gonna cook your noodle was would you still have broken it if I hadn't said anything?" So it's better to ask and be sure than to not ask at all.
Have a great night all! I'm tired, it's close to 4am, and I'm about to get a qwerty stamp if I don't get some shuteye soon.

sorry to bring the war back, but a few pages ago there was an argument that the government would declare swine flu a pandemic, and obama did
