Author Topic: New computer, need help picking parts.  (Read 4315 times)

Wo wo, I noticed no fans to cool that lovey pile of computer :)

I suggest if you have a bit more money, try to get some fans in there to cool that down.
You probably wont need fans but, I have a AMD quad core and it raised my room temp by like 7-9 degrees.
However the colder the better. :)
Another solution is turning your computer off when you aren't using it, unless its the main source of heat, like it is in my room.

Yeah, you should probably get some fans to cool it down.

K, Im adding to my list soon.

Do you see the number of fans in there? Two front fans, one back fan and one on the top.
The only way it'll heat up your room is if you aren't in the 21st century and don't own A/C.

This. Always turn it off overnight unless you're doing something like Memtest with large amounts of RAM or something.

Even still I have about 4 fans in my case in my case not including my video card, or CPU and its still really hot inside. And I do turn it off at night.

Your fans aren't operating at all then probably. There's no way it's getting THAT hot in there unless you overclocked everything.

It's supposed to be hot in there. That's why its got cooling.
It's never going to be 72 degrees. It's always going to be around 40 celsius/104 farenheit to 60 celsius/140 farenheit. If it goes higher than that then you maybe do need cooling or need some damn A/C in your room.

$1,081.91 is very expensive! How about buy cheap stuff!

I am overclocking but its around 110-125 degrees or something, I haven't checked in a while. I actually have 2 fans in my room. My stuffty apartment has no A/C. :\

Welcome to 2009. If you want top of the line, you're gonna need to dish a lot of money for it. FFS, please don't say anything if you don't know anything.

Well there's your problem :|

I found the 4gb DDR2, but I want to get 6GB, should I buy a 2GB stick and just add it?

Just buy everything, but get some things for cheap.

dude, you thought ageia made graphics cards, you don't know stuff about computers.

Yes I do. I know computers. The way speakers work is this...Sound into a microphone...changes the sound into bytes...bytes through modulator...into a speaker...back into sound.

who doesn't know this, also that isn't computers, that is how digital speakers in general work
it's the computer translating the encoded music on the hard drive into binary that the speaker then recieves, and i believe the internal parts use electromagnets or something to vibrate and create the sound.
