My theory

It's usually more of that it's funny that the guy basically did it to themselves(racking themselves, messing up and getting bruised or scraped up not severly).
You don't know what dogs are saying to other dogs, how do you know what they're fighting over?

They Fight becuase Of dominince, thats how they were made
dogs don't go around saying "HAHA I forgetED YOUR MOM LAST NIGHT!!!1!"

And you think that inhumane things aren't done out of people wanting to feel dominant/powerful/strong/controlling?

Yeah, not a big deal.
Edit: at the end of the day, I think it's so important that people think about this stuff.
As far as philosophizing goes, I tend to not dwell on human nature itself so much as I think about how stupid most of my generation can be. I'm sure as I grow older I can bring myself to come up with basic principles about how we function as human beings but now I'm more concerned about the individual and how they fit into the larger society.
