My high school doesn't have a course of sociology, last time I checked :(.
Since if I recall correctly you've been in college(or I assume so since you're older), I will ask, is philosophy an interesting course? Because I've heard from some that it's just like a blowoff class, just something to get a credit, but I was actually interested in it, so I'm worried that I might as well not take it due to it not being that interesting or whatever :(.

I never took philosophy, but really, the quality of the course depends on the school and who is teaching it. If you're interested in taking it then you should consider it, but do some investigating first. Ask other people who took the class what they thought of it. I'm not familiar with your school policy, but you may be able to try it for a few weeks, and if you don't like it, withdraw from the course in time and not get a grade penalty and possible get a full or partial refund.
