Author Topic: Music- <3 or </3? And wtf is it coming to?  (Read 3571 times)

i don't listen to your type of music so no offence.I only listen to rap not hip hop and yes it's all gone to hell, rappers rapping about: getting money, having love, doing drugs and beating or dissing someone.

Proof of my post.
One song made in 1995 doesn't exactly prove your point.
That's why I only listen to what I think is called "electro"
No lyrics, just music
...Sort of.

Lyrically there's some really great stuff being made these days, and musically even Hip-Hop is actually trying to move itself forward. To judge the entire world of music by what you're finding on the Billboard Hot 100 is just stupid.

For every good song produced theres about 1000 bad ones.

Because music is more accessible than ever, any kid with a Macintosh can sit down at his computer and make a song in no time. Any kid with access to the internet can upload his songs to a Myspace profile.

I would suggest turing the radio off and exploring more types of music. No one is making you listen to rap. And guess what, you can still buy music from years ago!

I don't pay attention to any rap or anything like that anymore, the only thing that comes close is Lady Gaga and she has like 2 songs that I like, I'm more into Techo/electro now.

I was talking to a freshman about music and they didn't know who Boston or Cheap Trick were.

Music is dying. forget the Jonas brothers, Lady gaga, and all the other whiny teenage bands and new/post-grunge stuff that's coming out. At least Journey, Ac-Dc, KISS, Metallica, and various other bands are/have released an album recently. Guitar Hero can also be credited with reintroducing the good stuff as well.

I've been drifting away from current day songs for a while, going back to at least the early 90s.
And classical.

Today's music is stupid.
It's only about love and/or love.
Yuuuus...
That's why most music on my MP3 player have no words :l
Edit: Lemme get some links for some wordless songs I have on my MP3.

Whatever happened to those rappers who tried really hard to make positive rap music? One example of rap I found awesome despite it's obvious crappy quality...
