I can't remember the name of an old anime/cartoon

The closest thing I can somewhat imagine this being about is a series called Dual! Parallel adventures. From the makers of the Tenchi Muyo series it is set when a guy is sucked into an alternate reality and has to dress like a woman to operate some large mech. *shrugs*
