I think if there was more school, things would go two ways in terms of how kids would respond. One group would develop even more of a pessimistic attitude towards school and get even less done, and the other group would just develop even more of a mentality that overachieving seems to be the standard. Either way, it seems to be becoming more and more that a (public) school isn't a place where students are equipped with the knowledge and wisdom they need to face almost all facets of daily life, it's a place where a model American citizen is bred. |

The increase in school time is only going to change for certain schools I believe that had less time than others. My school has about a 25 minute longer day than schools in Philadelphia and they're increasing schools such as these to the same length. |

I think we should just adopt a year-round schedule. More frequent, albeit, shorter breaks. |
