Mandarin and English are completely different languages. You'd have a better chance of comparing English to French, Spanish, or Latin. You are in English to learn proper grammar, writing, reading, etc. You are not there to practice your noobish. Slang of any type is generally frowned upon in formal writing because it is just that. A synonym is a different thing entirely. Most web slang is not a part of the English language and you'd be lucky to have your teacher understand it, much less accept it in a paper. English, as much as I hate the classes is actually important to know. If you haven't noticed, many people who use internet slang as difficult to understand. Trying to argue that it is a valid part of the English language is like trying to argue the same for street slang. Therefor coming to the conclusion: Doomonkey is a complete handicap."

Haha, "internet slang terms", and yes I do agree that they really are useless. It's just some overused joke which 11 year olds like to giggle at, or make it their avatar to make them look "cool". Honestly, any kind of meme/or joke that gets old too fast is an instant hate right away.
