Author Topic: I might get a PS3 in 2010, what should I get for it?  (Read 5555 times)

No, HD is a television word. Its used instead of resolution, because console gamers are to stupid to understand what that means.
A height of 1080 pixels for modern video games is awful.

TVs get bigger in inches, but unlike computer gaming, its not consistent with resolution. It simple stretches the pixels more and more. the quality actually drops with larger TVs.

Oh, really?
Huh. It seems good to me, probably because I am used to it. I envy your computer; it has twice the power of a television you say? Holy Jesus, that's cool.

I own an X-Box 360, although I would much rather have gone with a PS3.

I eventually would've saved money due to live fees, and by the looks of them I prefer most PS3 exclusives over the X-Box exclusives.

But that's just me.

lol are you loving kidding me? any computer monitor 19inches(wide) or larger is already higher quality then any tv on earth.

and the 360's video card is years behind the times. it was built for a 1080p tv though, so you dont need any kind of power for that lol.

in comparison. i play cod4 on my pc, right next to my brother on his cod4 360.
graphics wise, i cant EVEN lower my settings enough to look like his. its not even possible. the game nor the pc even allow that garbage.

I love how most of your assumptions are so wrong :3

Oh, darn. Well, I do have a 15 - 16 inch wide monitor, so I wouldn't know.

It has "No games."

every one of you loving fail
PC >

and for graphics. 1080p is 1080p same loving thing for any console, they all look as good.
1080p loving sucks, shame on all of you for even thinking that's good. "high definition" is a shameful television term to mislead you.

TV's are what hold back consoles from being great
actually my parents stopped buying HD from our comcast, the hd actually looked worse then normal.

Yeah so you have to send your xbox in every few monthes.. you can get a PS3 Slim for $300 you people aren't up with the times.  Possibly a headset but other than that you should be fine, there isn't anything that is actually a necessity.  Also games are a matter of opinion, not fact.  I don't think they make the 60gb anymore by the way, but do you want backwards compatibility?  How much are you willing to spend?
i have never set my xbox in.

I don't get why people are such a bitch about the PS3 and it's cost. If you buy a ps3 today, you will pay $300+. If you get a 360, $300+. Plus the the internet for PS3 cost nothing. You will end up paying loads more on a 360 then a PS3 from live.

You can also try hovering your mouse over the blacked out bit and it will appear in a tool tip style box.

I think the PS3 has better games.

No, no, the 360 costs 250-, as far as I know. Plus it has great games, and rarely goes bad, when you treat it well.
