If you're getting a Core i7 then stick with 6GB of memory and pick up a nice 5850 or 5870. Don't buy 2 lesser cards when you could easily buy one much greater card. Also, take a look at the AMD Phenom 2's...they are quite good and have a better price/performance ratio than the Core i7 series. |

The 285 or 295. Still, you're hurting yourself by excluding the ATI brand. They are really controlling the market right now by offering more powerful cards, with ever-improving drivers, at much lower prices than Nvidia. |

5870 is the best card on the market. Nvidia also has not announced any competition that I know of. |
