Author Topic: Fix Bloxel Renderer (UPDATE)  (Read 8312 times)

Roads are not prints. The roads are actually "baked" into the brick. I don't think the renderer scans the brick and then creates a picture of it in any case, it's just got a library of what it draws based on what the brick is called. It draws a road brick T intersection because it reads a save file or whatever and spots a T intersection.

Most prints are too tiny to show up in any kind of discernible way anyway.

I'd actually like to see this get fixed and then maybe used by people in gallery threads as overview shots of builds. Although I suppose it wouldn't work every well on really huge builds, you can't exactly zoom in and out with it.

Wut?

The roads are part of the BLB and made of several polygons. Prints are separate textures.

Huh. Fascinating.

I'd love to see this in action :D

I tried doing it with a build I saw on Badspot's server (Phydeoux's fortress, 3000 bricks or so) and the program crashed. Weird.

I'm assuming you just load a build and enter the console command? If so, it isn't working for me. I enter the console command and it says it's exported to PixelCrap.txt, but when I run either batch file the pictures are empty files. I'm probably doing something wrong.

This reminds me of truce's script that converts bls's to models.

But this looks absolutely amazing. Do want.

Does this only work with Windows?

They weren't models; it just rendered the build in 3D using Java.

I would love to see this remade :3

Badspot had once tod me that Bloxel wasn't for large bricks, so he kinda scrapped it with the cubes.  Hopefully he wdoes start up again.

Tom

Boxel renders the 32x32 roads  from a grid of numbers.

you could upload the php file and the pixelcrap.txt that you want to render to your local web sharing.

The batch file closes on being started up for me. Wai.

I wonder who selected "No"
