I got a free version of Photoshop with my Wacom tablet. It may not be the cheapest way, but it's a very nice way.
Then again, if people are having trouble understanding gimp, photoshop may not be for you...

Gimp is totally different. Even a handicap would handle photoshop better than gimp.
