Windows isn't reading my CD drives.

you install any hardware or drivers for anything else recently? if your using vista they could have auto installed and fudged other unrelated things up.

Autoinstalled drivers rarely cause problems. Worst case scenario they don't get the latest one and you have to get it manually. OH THE HORROR!

Backup your files and system restore to before you installed those drivers that seem to be interfering with the Disk Drive.
If that doesn't work open up your comp and unplug-plug in.

I installed daemon tools wrong or something and my cd drives stopped showing up. The way I got them back was going in the registry and clearing a value, it's been awhile so I can't remember the path.
