Is it possible to change the resolution through the monitor?
(1/2) > >>
pitchblack:
Is there a way to make my resolution different by using the buttons on my computer monitor?
Inv3rted:
Monitors have a fixed resolution. You can't grow more pixels. The only thing you can do is render less pixels, which causes pixels to 'fuse' and become larger. That's when you just decrease the resolution below your native.

I don't think he is asking that. He is asking whether he can change his resolution via the buttons on his monitor. And the answer is (generally) no, as the picture is generated by the computer and just sent to the monitor, the monitor plays what it is sent.

In essence, the monitor is just a fancy TV. It only displays, it cannot mess with the computer itself.
So sorry, no. But it's not much to just RClick>Properties>Settings, now is is it?
Darkhawk:
Taboo, maybe he CAN'T do that, i used to have this stuffty virus, couldn't do stuff on my desktop settings, couldn't open computer or control panel or even internet.
