The Mayan's worked the long count on a system of 20. They didn't exactly leave an instruction book behind, but it would only make sense that 20 Bak'tuns would mark the end of long count, not 13.
Don't use the 2012 Movie Guide as a source, they lie :c

Yes, there are 13 Bak'tuns. The long count just ends at 20 Bak'tuns. :cookieMonster:
