Some people got the story wrong, so I wont bother to read the rest of the posts. Blockland Central Blockland Central (After retail) started because some kid with anger issues named viper payed for some domain, bragged about it, and wanted people to join as a "United Blockland Community". He wanted both retail and vanilla players to join in on it, as we all do play Blockland. However it seems his first targets were those of the vanilla, and we all know how several of them acted. Thus anything good said about retail was bogged down with "it costs money" and "the players look stupid" and "there's no editor wand". Some united community that was. Project A and BLC's involvement Blockland Central was a 'united community', so then some of the members proposed a project, called "Blockland and I Forget What Else". Viper himself pretty well claimed it under his 'company' as their project though he did not work on it at all, nor did he ever talk about it. Suddenly and for no raisin they changed the name to Project A. Probably out of fear of getting sued by Eric for using his game's name and then selling it. Not sure why that was the problem, I think they should have more fear of Source suing them for using their engine and selling it without a licence. So far the only improvements we've heard of to this 'game' was some maps, using the physics gun to play with brick shaped objects in G-mod, and that the game now runs on an engine about lesbians. |
