2012

Muffinmix:

There is no evidence of anything that people proclaim should happen in 2012 so I don't believe it's real. Also logically speaking the proclamations are completely senseless on top of being baseless. For one the astrological doomsdays like asteroid collisions or whatever are never going to happen without us knowing it beforehand, and they take more then a single day to happen (see my rant in last thread). This includes that polar shift thing people can't let up.

So the Mayan Calendar ends a cycle in 2012, big loving woop, I have no idea how people were immediately led to the conclusion that this meant Cataclysm. All it means is their calendar ends its cycle, nothing more nothing less. The calendar isn't saying anything about a Cataclysm.

Let me tell you something, people who believe in the 2012 phenomena are not scientists. The scientific community is built on evidence and rational thinking upon evidence, the 2012 phenomena is built on disinformation and illogical conclusions. This is just a suggestion but you shouldn't fret about it when there's allot of other urgent and dead serious matters at hand to deal with, like global warming.

--- Quote from: Wedge on November 08, 2009, 10:44:42 AM ---I'm going to carve a stone with a calendar that ends in 5015 and burry it in my backyard. 3000 years there will be another end of the world scare.

--- End quote ---
That's diabolical.

Niliscro:

Movie looks pretty cool, but I'd rather see Ninja Assassin.

Wynd_Fox:

I think it's as possible that the world will end in 2012, just as possible as any other year.

Syntho:

How about they were going to make a new calender or made a new one but it got lost/broken?
