Other civilizations predicted the end of the world.
Heck, they thought the minute it turned 2000, the world would end.
the Earth will meet it's end when the sun expands into a Super Giant and swallows Mercury and Venus. Even then, humans may be so stubborn to still live underground where it could be cooler.

Any premature extinction of the human species will probably be our own fault.

They say that the Earth will freeze or something but it clearly states in the Bible that the Earth will burn when the end comes (we won't know when it will come thus disproving any predictions). Maybe the bible's inferring to the expansion of the sun into a red giant, which will happen in 6 billion years. All the inner planets will be engulfed by the sun at that point. Makes sense, plasma is kind of hot like fire, except electrically charged I dunno.

It's a state of matter where electrons are stripped off of the nuclei, so you have nuclei flying around in a sea of electrons, like in metals except the atoms are moving around at crazy speeds.
