Well, I don't know about you but what if I wanted to learn more about why Hindu's believed in reincarnation? You ask why it is and then they explain how this could be possible. If they can provide enough evidence as to why this may be possible you might accept this belief but if they do not then you choose not too still. I never said, oh well they don't have any reason to believe this there is no evidence and they wrong and I am right. According to you however doing this is just a load of stuff to force my beliefs on you, but this isn't telling them they are wrong or right, it's asking why they believe so which is a completely different thing. |

--- Quote from: rkynick on November 10, 2009, 06:55:25 PM ---The need for religion to explain our world has become irrelevant with science. After that, religion is needed to show how one how to live their life. Seeing as Christianity and other aggressive religions do a very (very) poor job of that, they are useless and do more harm than good. Example(of the last 5 words of the above statement): American politics in the past 300 years. --- End quote --- Give me one example of our aggressiveness. My church teaches not to be aggressive and threaten but to explain. It's bad when someone does something because of fear. If you haven't noticed, I'm not being aggressive here unlike Inv3rted who starts throwing fallacies around. |

It's just that it feels like every other week people talk to me about this stuff when I know a little something which I forbid myself to tell. |
