Lets say that string theory violated part of the bible. Which is true?
Im not saying either. All Im saying is: Which do you trust more; science or the bible?

LOL WOW YOU'RE SO loving DUMB ASDF LOL
*ahem*
Theories have been experimented on. If believe the Bible has fact within its pages, you're a horribly ignorant fool.
Also, Tom, do you have any scientific knowledge whatsoever or do you believe it's the subject of evil godless scum?

Theories = Ideas
Theorem/Law = Proven
Rekuddo:
The bible is one big book of fairy tales put together, It's my theory how it got started, that some worthless poet wrote a bunch of poems, decided that they where horrible, threw them away and they where found and those people loved what he wrote, and claimed it as their own, and added to it. They loved it so much that they took these works of fiction and formed a cult, eventually some king or sultan got a hold of it, thought it was a good message and forced it down his people's throats. Then some friend came along and claimed to be the messiah, the jews made an example of him.
Yeah that sounds better then, Disciples coming back from the dead supposedly "Heaven" and writing the word of god. "Oh hay guiz if u die u go to effer heven or hell depends if ur gewd or not."
forget that, I'll be a rotting corpse in a body bag on it's way back to the US from an interesting foreign affair in south-east asia before I'll believe that stuff again because I'm a Nihilist.

I didn't say proven.
--- Quote from: Inv3rted on November 09, 2009, 11:26:35 PM ---That's a terrible definition. A theory must be tested and testable. The Theory of Evolution is no less correct than the Theory of Gravity. Can you prove gravity exists? It might all just be a coincidence.

You can't prove anything outside of mathematics. But, that doesn't mean you should ignore overwhelming evidence. It is the fool's notion to base their outlook upon the world on its ability to be proven. Also, theories aren't just 'ideas'. You still have no idea what one is, and yet you pretend to have knowledge of the universe.
