No....

To "Lucid dream" means to be aware that you are in a dream, therefore rendering yourself to do anything within it. There is no "waking up" involved.
Gamefandan:
Isn't a Lucid dream a coma then?

I've tried changing what I was dreaming, but I always wake up do to my brain becoming too active. I just let my mind wander, a skill I've picked up due to the many hours I've devoted to day dreaming.

Actually, no. A coma is like a form of sleep that you can not wake up from and you remember nothing. It's as if you feel a sleep and woke up immediately, like nothing happened.

"Coma, from the Greek word "koma," meaning deep sleep, is a state of extreme unresponsiveness, in which an individual exhibits no voluntary movement or behavior. Furthermore, in a deep coma, even painful stimuli (actions which, when performed on a healthy individual, result in reactions) are unable to affect any response, and normal reflexes may be lost."

So almost.. but if someone slapped me I'd wake up, so no.
