I'm probably in love (yes, I use that word) with the aforementioned girl. Just don't think of how many things could go wrong. In fact, if she is anything like my friend, self-humiliation (not too much, just make a statement and use a demeaning phrase afterwards. example: I went up to my friend, said, "Want to know how manly I am?" and proceeded to tell her that when a Taylor Swift song came on I sung it - fully). Also, if you make a joke, try not to laugh at it too much. Of course, this could be useless to you because everybody is different.

get over that potential to look like a fool and stay on prepared (mentally) topics of convo. Also, should you be able to, in a month (or day, don't know how fast you'll work) when you stickitinherpooper, don't let her know you asked for help online

Yes, it does and confidence is a good thing to have. I used to be like you and now that i think that I'm the stuff I can talk to girls easily and ask them out even easier.
