Not everyone is like you. Perhaps he doesn't enjoy playing it anymore, what would be the point in keeping a game console no one plays instead of selling it so someone else can enjoy it while he gets some money out of it? The parent's wouldn't be looking out for him regretting selling a gaming console anyway, all parents are like "hurr when i was your age we didn't have no new fangled technologicies"
