Really. It is a trivial thing, nobody cares about some baseball. But when it is something that affects your views on life I think I'll want a little more proof before I toss my beliefs out the window.

Burden of proof. Read up on it. You have no evidence for your beliefs, therefore it is very idiotic to retain them.
