No you aren't. Tezuni lives in Hawaii and I'm pretty sure there are a couple others, too.

How is it abuse? It's not like it shuts down his server or anything.

Also, if the server is in an area that doesn't observe it DST, it won't show it anyway. Only countries that observe it may be listed under DST too early.
