Server Lag help

I went through all the trouble to forward my ports on Verizon and all that fun stuff, but all the people joining my server say its very laggy and lag-out most of the time. I never experienced lag in my servers, so any help would be appreciated. I've ruled out Brickcount (it's too low to cause lag- maybe 1000 bricks max) I tested my connection speed at www.speedtest.net , any my results were Download Speed: 9.88 mb/s Upload: 1.82 mb/s and Ping: 34ms. I have a little linksys wireless usb connector that connects to my router. Could that be my problem? -Thanks for reading-

It's probably your computer. How old is your computer or your graphics/video card?

I bought a brand new Gateway DX4200-09 last year. The graphics card is an ATI Radeon HD 3200. <--That came with the computer, Im trying to get a NVIDIA card for Spore :P.
