My current computer is single core, but dual core because it has hyperthreading (Yes very very old).
The comp is 4 years old and it runs TF2 at 36 FPS.

I had a Pentium 4 3.0 GHz HT before this with an 8800 GT and 2 GB of RAM, used to run at low FPS because of the processor itself...

But whatever, it doesn't really matter.
