There is no way to easily "freeze" an object in mid-air without it falling down. Sometimes vehicle objects locked into place (with e.g. the Gravity Gun) will stick in place until shot or moved again, even if others below them are removed, however this effect cannot be triggered by scripting. The alternative is to use many schedules to keep warping the object back to the position you froze it in, which generally looks bad and jerky as it'll fall and warp again in lag or if anyone except the host sees it due to client-side physics prediction.
