Program reverted back to Demo mode... missing key

I started up Blockland today, and it opened like it should... but for some reason, the thing was asking me to put in a key. RTB was functioning so I figured I may just have to restart my computer...
So I restarted, tried again... only same result except RTB went missing. I figured this would be an easy fix since I had my key saved on an External HDD, so I plugged it in... and it was completely empty. D:
So now I don't have my key anymore, and I'm wondering if this problem can be fixed without re-inputting my long lost key. If not, is there something that can be done to resend me my old key? (I once had it on my Virginia Tech email account, and now that I'm not a student there... I can't access it, but I think it was long erased due to spam flooding the account)

Alright, thank you very much for your help. I just hope I can figure out what happened to my external hard drive... I'd hate to lose everything on that. ; - ;
