Been thinking on this alot recently. Were the games THEMSELVES ( with real cards n stuff) the reason why Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokemon became famous, or did the shows do the work? Discuss. |

The only reason I played Yu Gi Oh was because everyone was obsessed with Pokemon. Then when everyone followed my example, I quit that and went to Bakugan. Once again, they followed and ruined my need to play it so I quit playing those card fads. So I would have to say that the shows definitely helped make those card games more popular. They're only 30 minute commercials for the things after all. |
