I remember reading that Starbucks would donate 5 cents of every drink purchased on a Starbucks card to the charity, and I thought "Why not just skip the overpriced beverage in the first place and donate $5.97? For the price of one drink you'll be doing as much good as 100. In fact, stop drinking coffee from Starbucks for a month and donate the average cost of your drink to charity. Now you'll have done as much good as 3000 drinks. Going by the '99 cents can feed a starving african child for a day' figure I just made up, you can feed 1 child for 10 years or 3000 children for a day, your choice. Oh, hold on here, we're talking about AIDs, not rice."
