| Bluray: Good or Bad? |

They were smaller, much more resistant to the effects of time and temperature and if you watched them a thousand times they would still work (tapes wore out). The only thing Blu-ray has over dvd is the picture quality, the multilayering used to add all the extra content that blu-ray has, exists on dvd but they are really whoreing the extras on blu-ray to make it seem like it's an exclusive feature. Blu-ray does hold more data but that matters little for most movies. Blu-ray looks and sounds better, that's it. Does it really matter? You can tell on an HD TV and even more on a good computer monitor but... eh, forget it. seriously: "you can call the difference" is nowhere near enough to make me want to buy a player. |

The only time something looks like crap on my TV is if I watch non-HD directv. It's incredibly compressed for broadcasting needs, so it looks like absolute stuff on an HD tv. |
