| Loading Brick Saves in a Dedicated Server |
| (1/1) |
| paulguy:
So I have recently tried running a dedicated server to see if it'd improve stability at all, but uploading a large brick save takes a VERY long time. (~30 minutes for a 3MB save file) Is there a way to command the dedicated server to load a local file, instead? Same with saving? My configuration consists of the dedicated server running on my macbook pro with windows 7 and my client running on my desktop in Wine. I'm sorry if this has been asked before but I looked in a few forums, and the search system was a bit unhelpful. |

A way I speed my loads up is to change the timescale but that works for me. I am not sure if it works on a dedi or anything because I don't host. Hope it helps. |
| Lugnut:
Timescale doesn't affect it. Its all in your mind. Anyway, there is a thing called Instant Dedicated Loader on the RTB Download system. Search. I'm to lazy to find it for you. |

OK, thanks for the help, I'll try it. |
