how do I make trans work in paint.net? I deleted the background but nothing is happening except the background becoming black when I upload it

Huh? I just used the magic wand on the background, and deleted it. You should have gray and white squares then for the background. Save as a .png then.

Been doing that. I tried .png, and .gif
