I fail to see the difference between the "yes" and "it would be cool option". Similarly, I fail to see the difference between the "no" and "don't like the idea" option.

Making a cave is possible, but you would need to use an interior for bricks to be able to be built in it. It would be hard to make the cave look naturally sunk into the ground when you have to match the terrain texture with the one on top of the interior to complete the illusion.
Also, modeling unnatural/jagged shapes in Torque Constructor is pain. I would suggest a different tool.
