Muffinmix made a long-range missile projectile a while ago back on RTB2.
It wasn't really an ICBM, but it was a projectile. It left a nice smoke trail as it flew and the explosion was appropriately sized.

This would be very good. It shouldn't have a huge, spammy explosion, though. Just a nice-looking, realistic one.
