Author Topic: Modelers Needed (You will be payed!)  (Read 45951 times)

Chasey, if it pisses you off so much make your own damn version.

No, I am not pulling the whole "IF U DONT KNOw HAO TO MODEL THEN STFU" card, I'm pulling the "stop being such a prick in your criticisms card".

I'm pulling the "stop being such a prick in your criticisms card".
Criticism is supposed to help the author improve their content. Pandan is incapable of understanding this. Apperently you too.

I don't make good models, I would make my own if I possessed the skill but, I don't. That doesn't mean I can't criticize his models though.

As what chasey said, I would aswell.

I even have the knowledge of what Blockland models should look like, however my ability to actually get it down into product form where you can actually see it seems to be the part I am most terrible at.

I used milkshape for almost a year before I was moved up to 3ds max. I didn't have to google it, because I knew it. If you can't do it properly in milkshape, get a 3rd party program.

Stop being so childish and try and make use of criticism, instead of brushing it off as personal attacks.

No one can.

Milkshape doesn't possess the proper functions to tweak normals like other programs.

You're right. Not like OTHER PROGRAMS. You can still change normals in milkshape. Smoothing groups are your friend.

And if that doesn't make perfect sense to you, you're just trying to argue for the sake of arguing.

Holy forget, that M3 is lovey.

So, is Heed kicked from Mac 10?

Tom

That's more than overdoing it.
Yep. They look good, but they have so many small details, I'm not sure if they would even be noticed game.

I've hilighted some details that could probably be removed without sacrificing model quality.

I'm sorry, but that is just my style of modeling, and for all those details you pointed out, it will only bring it down about 20 polys, I would rather have the detail.

Does that small detail even show up in game?
And ~480 is better then ~500 polys.
