This is so easy to make.
Like the Top-Down player, the camera faces on the side of the player. This will be good for Portal servers.

Wait, Portal servers? Have you ever even played the real Portal, not the stuffty flash version? Because it's not exactly a side scroller.

the flash version is 2D and it is viewing on the side, i've played it
before.
