Add-on making help

Hi,

I have tried for a while, and can't figure out how to install any of the add-on making softwares.  I have a Macbook Pro with Snow Leopard.  Please help.

First of all, what type of add on are you trying to make?

use notepad and blender/some other modeling program
also, this should go in modification discussion
