Author Topic: my laptop had love with my tv  (Read 2000 times)

I can do this with my laptop and an S-Video cable.

I can do this with my desktop and a really loving long cable.

My TV even has a VGA port.

I do this a lot with my HD TV right next to my desktop. :D

I did that for a while on my plasma but it really isn't worth it, the TV just stretches your laptops screen to it's size, if you have a big TV like mine it looks pretty bad. The only cool thing about it is I set it up so my laptops monitor was a secondary monitor so I could put up websites and stuff on it while I gamed on my TV screen.

Not when you have good graphics that can make resolutions over 1080p

I need a new S-video cable as I have an old TV (not even a flatscreen which makes it more appealing to do dumb things like this) and a computer in my room, and no monitor.

The computer has HDMI, S-video and DVI but the TV only has good old composite AV ports. Hell, we have literally 40 HDMI cables but the HDTV is always in use by other people. This frustrates me, as I have 130gb odd of DVDs backed up on my external hard drive for travelling and nowhere comfortable to watch them. It would be nice to do things from bed. Also late night inspiration will stop being wasted, I'll be able to write stories again. :D

Looks like it's time for the talk.

Were I you, I wouldn't make the 'for' italicized.
Just my opinion though.

I've connected my laptop to the LCD screen via HDMI several times to play Guitar Hero: World Tour.

true dat, i <3 my laptop, i connect it using HDMI cables

playing half life 2 from my computer to the tv was just as good as playing it on an xbox360.

I attach my computer to my hdtv sometimes to play games, but I usually use my regular computer monitor because it has a higher maximum resolution.

Did it stick his floppy into her disk drive?   :cookieMonster:

My laptop can't do jack stuff. The highest resolution it can go as far as I know is 1440x900.

Yeah that's nice but my computer's had its computersnake inserted into a 50" for about a year now. ;D
