I just read the whole topic. I believe you. To anyone that is asking why he's on here instead of with his family, my online friends would be some of the first people I'd talk to.
JD, very sorry about this. My dad was in the hospital around a year ago with an undiagnosed disease. Before he went into the hospital, the first doctor he saw just diagnosed him with the flu. It got worse from there and he finally went to the hospital. Eventually several of his organs were starting to shut down and they still couldn't find what he had. Thankfully they started him on antibiotics even though his kidney might not have been able to take it and he somehow got better.
I know it wasn't as sudden, nor the same ending, but I still think I have an idea of what you're going through. I feel really sorry and all, but I also agree with what Deathwish said, don't dwell on it forever. Everyone handles losses differently (learned that in psychology), so I don't want to say just get over it, but still don't get too caught up in it.
