Is it just me, or are most add-ons boring?

Take Space Guys Gravity Gun and Laser Pointer for example, they don't have models, yet people still like them.

During the school year, people don't have as much time to work on add-ons.  So the good add-ons that require a lot of work, testing, and detailing usually aren't released until summer vacation or during a long break from school.  Of course, there are exceptions, but it's a pretty accurate generalization.

More modelers should look into the S&R board, there are a lot of creative ideas that are ignored.

I think those should be the standard realistic weapons. All the other ones can gtfo.

Edit: Basically, people have been making add-ons/weapons/vehicles in CoD fashion instead of being able to make something original. Can your brain process it?

They are great with animation, scripting, etc with all the technical stuff behind the add-on. The models are well smoothed and processed.

But they lack creativity in the way that they are just common weapons, although I will say I prefer them as apposed to another persons JkF5 generic assault rifle.
