So...can anyone tell me how to port?

My computer is filled with too many files. Almost everything from the RTB2 archive is in it. And then I found it doesn't work because you have to port that stuff. And I didn't even know what port meant. I still don't actually know what it means except for making an old add-on work. So, can anyone tell me what porting is and how to do it?

If it's a vehicle add Vehicle_ to the front of the filename
If it's a weapon add Weapon_ to the front of the filename
If it's a print add Print_ to the front of the filename
