Help / VCE Manual won't switch back to "Manual" tab after clicking on "Changelog" tab

Both the VCE manual that comes with the VCE mod, and the "fixed" keybind toggle version by Evar768, will break when you try to check the manual after clicking on the changelog tab.

The following console error is produced:

General Discussion / Anyone know how to fully activate all the sound effects in Sound_NewEffects?

I want to fully use the Sound_NewEffects mod as in it is contained sound effects to cover a wide variety of other things besides jets, lights, and walking, but yet these extra sound effects aren't actually working in the mod. Anyone know how to activate them?

"Munk" was the addon's developer, by the way. But he seems to have since left the forums (he was last online over a year ago).

Help / Blockland instantly crashes to desktop upon startup

For some reason, every time I try to start Blockland now on my computer (it's been over a week since I last played; I didn't change anything, I haven't even been on my computer in a week), it instantly crashes to desktop. I have no idea why.

Off Topic / Math help needed (PERT pretest)

Hey guys I am taking the PERT test tomorrow morning for my community college stuff, and I am taking the free pretest handout packet they gave me at home. I need some help with a few of these math problems here:

x^2 - 6x + 5 = 0

I simplified this first to

x^2 - 6x = -5

and then finally to

x^2 = 6x -5

but now im stuck and have no idea what to do. I cant divide by X because there is no X on the -5. Im just stuck.


Im also having a problem with this other problem here.

Factor Competely:

x^2 - x - 6

The issue I am having with this one is that I have totally forgotten how to factor. I can easily do it the other way with FOIL or whatever that process is, but I don't remember how to change it into two separate sets of brackets. Some pictures of people doing this process on paper would help greatly.

There was some old Disney VHS Tape I had as a kid that had a really creepy opening segment where an old man had a white handkerchief and he put black eyes on it and pretended it was a person. And it was scary as hell. But I cant remember what it was from or what it was called. Anyone happen to know what I am talking about? It was on some old Disney VHS Tape from my childhood.

Suggestions & Requests / Client-sided Server Blacklist Mod

Basically I would like to see a mod that lets you automatically filter out specific servers from the master server list when searching for one to join. You could highlight a server and have there be a "Blacklist" button that you could click on the GUI to add it to a list of servers to remove from the list, based on the host's BL_ID. You could manage this blacklist in a separate window.

An additional addon for filtering out servers based on keywords in their titles would be really helpful too.

This would help a lot with finding decent servers. There are so many stuff-tier RP servers that it makes finding a good server much harder when they're flooding the page.

Built this on Xedious's Esseker build server this morning when bored. I was wanting to try something different from building scifi stuff for a change, and I've been wanting to do a full-scale WTC build in the future, so I decided building a smaller-scale model of it would be some good practice. It's truly an amazing work of architecture.

This thread may or may not contain a few terrorist jokes but the build itself is not a joke. My condolences go out to all those who have friends/family who died on September 11th (Just don't stuff up this thread with salty tears though please).

I am currently having difficulty finding the banlist.txt or adminlist.txt files for my personal server in my Blockland installation (I use Steam). Anyone able to point me to where it is?

If you care anything about internet privacy or even the ability to customize your own personal devices (without being thrown in jail) then you need to listen to this.

Here is just some of the awful things contained in the bill that will be law if it is passed:

  • Compel ISPs to take down websites without any sort of court order, just like SOPA. (Appendix Section I)
  • Extend the US’s copyright regime to require copyrights stand for life plus 70 years, preventing anyone from using works that belong in the public domain. (Article QQ.G.6)
  • Criminalize whistleblowing by extending trade secrets laws without any mandatory exemptions for whistleblowers or investigative journalists. (QQ.H.8)
  • End anonymity online by forcing every domain name to be associated with a real name and address. (Article QQ.C.12)
  • Make it illegal to unlock, modify, or generally tinker with a device you own. (Article QQ.G.10)
  • Export the US’s broken copyright policies to the rest of the world without expanding any of the free speech protections, like fair use. (Article QQ.G.17)

This stuff is worst than SOPA and and all other "anti-internet piracy" laws combined, especially because it affects multiple nations, not just the US.

There's a petition online to let our lawmakers know they need to stop this.

Drama / "_OXBADCODE#" - Ramming team vehicles, aiding enemy team on Heed's Slopes TDM

So this morning I joined Heed's slopes TDM seeing it had about 20 people playing, and things were cool for a while. I swapped to Blue Team after a little bit, but then some real bullstuff went down with this guy named _OXBADCODE#, one of Tezuni's server admins who has been consistently acting like a handicapped little stuff on Heed's server for the past several days. Normally he just spams chat with capital letters on occasion and/or brags about how Tezuni's server is better (Ironic considering I see him playing constantly on Heed's).

However today was different. Today he took it upon himself to be as much of an ass as he could. He deliberately tried to aid the enemy team by ramming friendly vehicles so they'd crash and the people inside would die (in other words, he was grounding all flight forces for Blue team via this). I was playing on Blue and we ended up losing all our capture points and even got spawncamped by Red, because every time we'd try to lift off in the heli on top of base or use another plane, here he'd come in his stunt plane to ram us out of control so we'd crash and die. Heed was AFK this whole time and so nothing could be done about OX.

I managed to get in the heli right after he made that pass and immediately climbed as steep as I could and away a bit, so he couldn't get me easily. Then I observed him trying to ram a friendly vehicle off the road.


I flew back a ways, just to see what he'd do. Sure enough he went straight for me and tried to ram my plane so it'd crash and i'd die. It took him a couple tries but he eventually succeeded.





Relevant screenshots of chat, with multiple friendly teammates dying due to his abuse. We tried to lift off in the heli and he killed us all by ramming us into the ground with his plane. Yes I keep "censor chat" on, sue me.

BEFORE YOU START POSTING stuff: This is NOT a thread for flame wars or stuffposting. This is meant to be a thread where people give their honest opinions and reasons for believing or disbelieving in Christianity as opposed to Atheism. If you want to just strawman and ad-hominem your post to death in response to whatever someone else may believe then kindly see yourself to the door.

I am not going to be arguing with people in this thread about the matter, I merely want to see what people's best answers are to this subject. To that end I feel it would be most beneficial if high profile forum users who post about this sort of thing, like SeventhSandwich, Headcrab Zombie, ZombiLion and others could weigh in on this matter because I have seen some pretty well written arguments from you guys before about the reliability of Christianity VS Atheism


So I sent my brother a collection of general questions/comments about Christianity that I have heard mentioned by users on BLF before and he really liked them, and literally told me that he has been searching for people like that for a long time to talk with them about that kind of stuff.

For the record he is a Christian Apologist (a person who defends christianity debate/logic/reason-wise) and he says that he believes in Christianity because he was convinced by the evidence.

He has basically been seeking to have an honest and as-unfairly-biased discussion with Atheists but he is almost definitely not willing to pay 10 dollars just to join a lego forum to debate religion with people.

Some statements he has already made before to me and others, I want to see what you guys think about them (please give evidence for whatever you say about these things):

-"Evolution is not supported by the fossil record."
-"The intelligent design movement is based entirely on scientific evidence."
-"The LGBT movement is not for marriage equality because they do not accept child enthusiasts marrying young teenage/pre-teenage kids. They have left those people out so far."
-"The Crusades are not comparable to Islamic Terrorism because the Crusades are incompatible with Christian doctrine and teaching, while Islamic Terrorism is consistent with Islamic teaching and the example of the prophet Muhammad."
-"The existence of evil is actually proof of God’s existence. Because evil exists, that means there is a transcendant standard upon which we can judge that something is good or evil. Otherwise, evil is relative and is just an opinion."

Please tell me what your reasons are for believing what you believe (or don't believe) and be sure to share verifiable evidence to back up what you say.

General Discussion / Question for Badspot: Will you add Steam Workshop support for addons?

I just read this post by Badspot here and got curious. Will there be any future support for Steam Workshop for Blockland? You expressed clear interest for it in that post but that was more than a year and a half ago. Are you no longer interested in that? Scout31 and friends are trying to develop Blockland Glass as an alternative mod manager replacement for RTB but it is garnering very little interest/attention in the major/non-forum community.

Also another question, one that I am interested in a lot. What are your plans for sandbox games in the future? I know this has probably been asked before but do you plan to make a Blockland "sequel" type game on a newer engine maybe in 5-10 years from now? I would buy the stuff out of that game if it ever happened.

I had an epiphany this morning to create some funny soundpacks. I was originally going to just do a compilation of random internet memes. I started off with some audio from "I'm Tyrone" vines but afterwards I decided to just make a "ghetto" soundpack instead.

General Discussion / "Block Trek" Star Trek Megathread - Toy Enterprise Model

    This is the megathread for all awesome things Star Trek themed on Blockland, primarily works by me (Planr), NASAboy3000, Remousamavi, and Captain C!


    Backstory/History

    In October 2015, I rejoined Blockland after a 3-year hiatus. When I first came back I had absolutely NONE of my old stuff, including my old builds and saves. I was starting over totally fresh, and to be honest it was pretty depressing due to the overwhelming nostalgia I was having from this old awesome build I worked on.

    By the grace of God, after digging through my email files I found a huge .zip file containing all my old Star Trek stuff for Blockland, including the old ship Star Trek saves. I LITERALLY cannot express in words how overjoyed I was when I found that file. I quickly retrieved my old addons and Star Trek ship saves, and I am now returning to Star Trek stuff full-force.

    Let it also be said that looking back, there was a good deal of drama and stupidity that occurred last time I worked on these projects. Some of my friends and I who were working on the project were real uptight about people saving our builds or having our addons. That won't happen this time. This time around I am going to be sharing all the addons we use (and make) as well as the ship builds with the public. The addons we make will be uploaded in packs when they are ready to release, and people are always welcome to come on the server and save the ships to play with them by themselves. The best way for these builds to always be remembered is for as many people to enjoy them as much as possible.
