Yes, put it in.
No, it is a bad idea.

Get the safe open so you can take its contents and leave the box itself. Save weight so you can run faster when you leave Louisville.

But then someone will rob us in our sleep?
Dunno, will they?

in games like these, it's best to assume that the worst possible outcome will be the very outcome of any choices made

True true, but I was being picky at him ending a statement with a question mark despite it not being a question.
look at what grammar national socialists have done to me.

tbh i think we should just sleep at the foster home for a while and get up before everyone else does

then we can leave.....

You think about returning back inside and going back to sleep. You slowly push the front door open and immediately hear yelling and coughing.

"WHAT IS THAT HORRIBLE SMELL???!!!" you hear, "HELP!!!"

Ohhhhhh lordy lordy lord I don't think going back inside would be a good idea. You see someone coming down the staircase near the door so you quickly get away from it.

You overhear a nameless caretaker asking, "Who left the door open?"

The door opens and a head peers around outside before closing and locking it. Wonderful. Now you're locked out.

Get the safe open so you can take its contents and leave the box itself. Save weight so you can run faster when you leave Louisville.

Getting the safe open is one of the first things on your mind right now, so you check out your options. The locksmith is 12 miles away and you are already very tired, so walking is not an option. You could try, but you won't go far. There are buses still running but there will be a fare. You could also try calling a taxi.

did we just use our poop container on something other than the pope
work on creating a new mega stuff using the same mix as before.

You could do this as well. Suggestions on what to buy and/or eat?

You're standing across the street from the foster home and you can see an illuminated bus shelter about a block away with two people sitting at it. There must be a bus schedule there and hopefully waiting people would indicate an imminent bus.

UNRELATED TO ACTUAL STORY: I am considering trying to integrate some sort of chance roller to this game, but I'll need your guys' input. It would be something very simple, like a 3-sided die where a '1' would be a bad situation/failure to do something, a '2' would be a neutral situation that doesn't help or harm you in any immediate way, and a '3' would be a success or good situation. The only thing that I think should be considered is that it could potentially make the character overpowered and/or make getting around extremely difficult. It would also mean unrealistic events would inevitably occur and many good game effecting suggestions would go obsolete.
