Heck, I might choose to play/host some Blockland instead of playing other games for the next few months (not that I will have that much free time anyway), and I'd invite the other veterans to do the same.

You never used that transparent version of your avatar that i made you all those years ago :(
Ouch, now that makes me feel bad... :( It's nothing personal, I just liked it better with the background. I'm surprised I even remember this. :o

Speaking of remembering... Does anyone know what happened to Spation?

Heya, folks. :) ID 269 here, probably known for the short video "Blockland went BLOCKO", or maybe not. Playing Blockland was genuinely fun back when I had less obligations, plenty of time to spare and a good set of common friends actively playing. I managed to keep track of a few of them thanks to Steam, but most of them are gone from my memory.

Good job on this initiative!

But they were cute, and remembering the official maps and their secrets will always touch the hearts of many elder players.

I remember hosting RTB 1.045 servers. And having to press F11 to spawn vehicles and the like.

Somehow I got myself into this place again.

Whoah. The shadows look great and all, but taking away all those maps we're used to is a pity. Hopefully, it will be compensated by the community through brick builds of maps. Allowing the user to save builds as a "map_build" or something would separate them from the remaining builds, and conveniently clear the risk of destroying it by mistake. There could also be another "clear bricks" button that doesn't remove the map bricks.

There's quite a stream of posts going on here.

From what I know about Java applications, you should try sending the Panels (or whatever you're using) to an actual window, rather than making it an applet. Nevertheless, good work!

Welp i just moved in to my dorm, and classes start on monday. Once i get around to it i'll post a picture of my room.
Good luck on that. Don't sleep over the first classes, it might turn into a crappy situation.

Again, we're talking about compilers here. Or is it IDE's and compilers in general?

Off Topic / Re: METAL (No Metallica or Iron Maiden bullstuff)
« on: August 25, 2011, 08:08:38 PM »
Metal is a good genre, it just needs to be properly explored. Lots of bands have chosen to associate it with hell and death, which is just a bad taste. I can't stand death metal and related.

As for bands, Jag Panzer is awesome. It was quite similar to Iron Maiden in the 80's, but it developed into a decent, mature Power Metal band.

GNU compiler utilities is what you want. There are some Windows versions scattered around 'n' stuff.
