Suggestions & Requests / Dalek (vehicle)
« on: July 15, 2007, 06:20:10 PM »
Would someone be so kind as to model a Dalek shell (the robotic outer thing) and make it into a vehicle?

Nothing would be more fun than driving it around and yelling "EX-TER-MI-NATE!" :cookieMonster:

Suggestions & Requests / Macro Improvement
« on: March 31, 2007, 04:51:47 AM »
I'd like to have the Macro thing check for the block's ID (or whatever it is the blocks are distinguished from each other with) instead of it's location in the inventory. That way one wouldn't have to bother trying to remember what one had in ones inventory when one made a specific macro. Would bring the usability of the Macro Saver to the next level. ;)

Gallery / Orthanc [WIP]
« on: March 24, 2007, 09:55:08 AM »
Got bored, started building a cone, cropped it up a bit, built a tower, decided that it was Orthanc. The basic outer structure is done, and so are some of the innards (mostly the lower floors).

Note that the tower is coloured white and red merely to make building easier. I'll colour it black once I get it finished.

General overview of the tower (from ground level):

Suggestions & Requests / RTB-ish inventory + more tool-inventory space
« on: March 17, 2007, 01:22:23 PM »
I'd like to see each of the different tabs as a brick inventory slot, so you could just scroll through them instead of going through the trouble of setting favourites and modifying them if needed and such.

Also, would be nice to have more space in the tool inventory.

Suggestions & Requests / New "brick": Portal
« on: March 07, 2007, 05:55:56 PM »
Would be nice to have a tool with which you could create these bricks in the way that first you place a ghost brick of a 1x1 plate somewhere, move it to the proper location if necessary, and when you press the "place brick" key, you'll place the brick, BUT now you'll have to move ANOTHER 1x1 plate ghost brick around, and this determines the corner opposite to the one you just placed. When the other corner is placed, the portal brick will pretty much just sit there and do nothing interesting, until you use the wrench give it an ID and input another ID to which the brick will connect to, not to forget which surface to use as the portal (N, S, E, W, U or D).

When two portal bricks are placed and they're set to connect (could be restricted so that the bricks must be the same size to connect, too), they'd show a picture of the "other side of the portal" on their portal surface. Upon touching the portal surface, the player would instantly be teleported to the other portal brick, preferably seamlessly (like in some maps that can be made in Hammer and other map editors), and perhaps with a slight nudge so that the player won't touch the portal surface immediately after reappearing (which would make him teleport back to where he started and continue teleporting ad infinitum).

This is the idea I came up with when trying to map out Hitm4n's ubermaze, because some of the walkways and corridors seemed to take up the exact same location in the maze WITHOUT intersecting, and this confused the heck out of me. :cookieMonster:

This would be quite neat for making the illusion of a building that is larger on the inside than the outside. :P

Suggestions & Requests / New Tool: Measurement thingy
« on: March 05, 2007, 04:37:41 PM »
I seriously think there should be a way for measuring the distance between two spots by the usage of, say, a special "gun" that gets the distance between two bricks you shoot.

Suggestions & Requests / New vehicle: Buttracer Deluxe!
« on: March 04, 2007, 06:22:11 PM »
I totally think someone should make it. It should look like, say, either a 1x1 plate or a 2x2 plate, should be a one-man vehicle, and when the player sits in it, arms should be pointed forward. Should move like the jeep. Hmm, perhaps the 1x1 plate would be the best model for it, so it'd be covered by the player's own model.

Also, it'd be nice to have the player's arms move when turning, kinda like if they were rotating an invisible wheel.

And don't you DARE tell me I've watched too many YTMND thingies!

EDIT: In a spur-of-the-moment inspiration, I'll just try to do this myself. :P
