For instance, Kaje and Penth take less damage from incoming projectiles. Will the backstab do 5000 regardless of damage reduction?

Don't know about Kaje but Penth doesn't actually take less damage, something wonky to do with playertypes and health displaying incorrectly. But yes, it should still do the full 5k.

Woke up and tried out the changes for myself. I need a higher playercount before I can see if the backstab is any good. Overweight spread probably doesn't need to be that large, toning it down just a bit would work. Tested overweight and I was still able to eat Kaje/Penth, being the larger bosses but on something like Badspot from the same range, I'm only getting 1k damage in on Badspot instead of 3k on a Kaje or Penth. Tried the backstab a time or two, something doesn't feel quite right. Movement tweak for Infiltrator is nice though. If I can get on during a higher playercount than 6, I'll see if the backstab can actually do something or if it starts to get useless. Kaje is balanced out for the most part but I think needs some tweaks, unsure and I'll have to wait until later to test. Rocketman is nice, players are still able to damage, rocketjump as always except they can't rocket the boss away. So it's kind of a nerf but doesn't anger the boss as much now.

This is not me bitching...this is me genuinely curious as to the reason for the change.  So why fix what wasn't considered broken?

You make good points and I agree with you for the most part, but overweight is a tad broken. Overweight was the one class literally everyone could pick in a round and unless the boss had a huge amount of experience, they'd die. Newer players or not-as-experienced players find it very discouraging when there's even two or three heavies gunning you down along with all the other classes. I also thought about getting overweight's jumping back so it would have no cooldown, allowing it to dodge a bit easier to balance out the spread. But still, the spread probably doesn't need to be that large but I'll be observing and testing today/tomorrow so we can finalize the changes. It'll take some experimentation before we find a sweet spot.

Not in the same situation, but my younger brother will be operating a vehicle soonish. Although my younger sister, yep, sounds just like her. But taking care of a pet? And driving? Not right. I hate to bring something like this up but is he mentally okay? Or is he just that lazy? It'd be terrible to part with the dog but I feel it would be best to prevent any harm coming to the pet due to reckless behavior of your sibling. Fault shouldn't be put back onto you because he doesn't care. I'd also like to know if he was raised this way as well? If my questions are too personal, don't feel like you have to answer them. I'd like to help and offer support if I can.

you've got to realize that anyone can ban you for anything even if the evidence is minor. in this case it would be "this guy isn't playing by the made up rules, he's playing differently from other bosses which makes this bad, being different is bad, im going to ban him".

"i don't ban for personal reasons"

seems a little personal if you think he's an starfish.

I have not had anything personal done to me by the OP, nor the other way around. I don't know them, never talked to them except for in the server on rare occasions. While I said he was an ass in the server, I probably should've said he was being an ass to many of the players previously, which is why I thought of him as such. I also said "I've been wanting to ban him" because he would go around filters regularly in addition to stalling rounds in the past as well. The chatlogs I posted are an example of the stuff he does and has done before. I do my best to not let my opinions of a player interfere with my punishments however, so I usually end up holding back on banning someone even though I may actually want to in some cases.

From what I see it would have been considered stalling. But with Trinko as an admin I think I'm done with boss battles.

Trinko wasn't on so this has nothing to do with him.

OP should include pictures of when "some people on the server are 7 and thought that what I was doing equated to stalling, and started whining."
Can we get a little background here as well?  Obviously Tophat has some kind of grudge against you.

I don't hold a grudge. It really isn't hard to understand that being a total ass to other players, possibly offending some in addition to stalling rounds is unacceptable behavior.

Sounds like a neat idea but I'd prefer to have said bonuses apply at all times, scaling to the amount of minibosses. I haven't given it much thought or built upon it, but the ideas and concepts have been floating around in my head for a good bit now. Also I'll add that a passive regen for energy/faster recharge probably isn't the best since it's one of the only times to hit dark samus. Of course, these ideas can be refined but getting my input out is nice :P

The map will technically be a large map but it will come off as three small maps connected. Rounds in the new hangar will last longer do to the set up of players forcing the boss into certain areas and the boss moving players into certain areas by retaliation. That is my response on size.

My response to the quality is once again I am redoing the hangar do to its original poor quality which implies it will not look similar with the exceptions of a few basic elements to the map.

Lastly on the subject of replacement of the original: the hangar replaced the bedroom to become the new "map" but the bedroom was reintroduced. The hangar original will most likely stay for awhile along with the new hangar. After a time we will bring up a vote of keeping both or just the new one. That shall give players an option of still using the original if they prefer it.

Map ideas are interesting, wonder how it'll be. Although I worry about setting a poll up here; Not every player comes here to vote, which is why I usually try to get a majority of players to give me their opinions so I can present them here. If we're to keep both instead of outright replacing it, we should not vote to remove the older one. If a map is playable and liked within reason, we would be unwise as to upset some of our playerbase by removing an old classic people enjoy being thrown back to. Also, I don't believe this hangar is pool quality. While it does get a bit boring since it's played on so much and maybe a bit bland from the colors, it's still up there as a good map in my book. Grew up with it too, so it's still a fair bit special to me.

View on poll: Bosses need to be balanced before they can start buying things to help them out, if we even take that route. It would probably end badly for us. We'd just have a few players constantly buying the upgrades/buffs/bonuses and now it's even harder to kill them, if it was at all possible before. Instead of bosses using the upgrade for when they feel like going all out, or see plenty of minibosses, it will be used for spite. Same goes for minibosses; they're only used to spite the boss' experience. Not point spite, but treating the boss like trash because they picked a single miniboss. Plenty still do it for fun, but I've seen way too many examples of that happening. Player A picks Juggernaut just because, Player B loses as boss and vows to always go Jugger when Player A becomes boss. This isn't what minibosses are supposed to be

I also believe that the normals' shop needs to no longer exist as it is now. If it were changed, preventing players from buying minibosses to begin with and instead incorporating it into normal classes somehow, that it would be better. For example, as a rocketman you have a chance to become Master Chief, overweight could become Juggernaut, etc. At that point we would have to make something up for the rest of the classes, but it probably wouldn't be too hard in the long run. But back to the point, I do believe we should throw the shop out in exchange for something else. Too often can someone use a miniboss and be boss the next round, every couple of rounds on a low playercount time, which lessens the fun and drives players away.

Tl;dr, Minibosses and the idea of boss upgrades are used to make the other teams' experience an unhappy one. I advise to remove minibosses and rework them into the game with other methods. We could still keep the boss upgrades, for instance if too many minibosses are in a round, the current boss will get the upgrade. So while gameplay changes a bit, it still attempts to make it fair on both teams without players trying to ruin an experience for others.

Regarding the shop and the poll: Some shop items should be restricted if there aren't enough players, otherwise it'll be too easy for one team to win.

It sounds like it could work but if we're having to lock stuff off then it is not balanced. We should take other courses of action to fix this, methinks.

What the poll is talking about: I am making a new hangar map. The original is the only one that allows you to purchase map upgrades. I am thinking about making it so in this new map the boss can also buy advantages. This shall not be affecting the original hangar map.

We've too many maps, personally. I feel like the new one should replace the old, but I do not want to give up the older hangar. I'd also like to add, be careful about how big it is. Classes are slower than they used to be, so medium-sized maps became a pain to traverse, large maps is basically a headache. Don't want too many maps looking the same, but we also want to work on quality rather than quantity.

I vote for removing the shop, but I would still like boss powerups to be worked in if we also rework minibosses in general.

I lost tons of points. I was on the server loading up and i traded in 67 BC for points in order to get the points achievements. Right after, the files stopped downloading and I lost all of them.
Here's my info:

Yeah I can restore them. Whenever you get on of course. I've been out for a bit and I'll have to look into why coins can be redeemed outside of the minigame. Thought we had fixed that in the past.
